Some organisations will receive product from an inwards consignment into a staging location or a receiving bay, before putting product away to racked or bulk storage.
To ease this process, users may take advantage of the Warehouse app's Putaway function.
The Putaway function allows for the process of transferring product after receiving to be streamlined.
To use the Putaway function, tap the Putaway button on the app Dashboard.

Once in Putaway mode, select the location that holds the inventory you are intending to putaway.
This is likely the receiving bay or staging location that holds the various pallets or inventory you are transferring.
After choosing the putaway source location, you'll be presented will all the product that is currently inventoried in that location.
Purpose
The purpose of the putaway function is to allow you to continue putting product away from the source location until there are no further items in the source location.
To use it
To start putting product away, simply:
- Select the pallet you are intending to putaway; and then
- Choose the destination location you have placed the product in; and finally
- Tap the Putaway button.
Consignly will execute an inventory transfer for you and you will remain in the source location to complete the next putaway.

Manual putaway and Auto-putaway with scanning and timed behaviour
Visit the app's Settings > Behaviour Settings to set an auto-trigger time. After scanning the pallet and destination location, Consignly will auto-trigger the putaway after the configured time, avoiding having to tap the screen at all.
