Products on Outwards consignments can be picked using the warehousing app. The Pick Consignments page displays all consignments in a Ready to Pick status - for more information on statuses see Consignments and Statuses.
To pick a consignment tap the Pick button on the app Dashboard or Pick from the app menu.
Picking Consignments from the Dashboard or App Menu
Navigate to the consignment by finding it in the index. You can use the search function or barcode scanning to narrow your results. The search supports searching by:
- Product Name
- Product Code
- Client Name
- Consignment Number
- Consignment Reference Numbers
- Consignment barcode
- Barcode / serial
Pick Consignment
Once you have located the correct consignment, tap to open it. You will be presented with a page called Pick Consignment. This page displays data including:
- Client Name
- Consignment Number
- Consignment Reference Numbers (If Applicable)
- Consignment Carrier (If Applicable)
- Expected Dispatch Date/Time
- Destination
- Container Number (If Applicable)
The Percentage and Quantity of all products picked for the Consignment is shown in the progress bar.
Below this information are the Consignment Products. Each Product row shows details about that product including:
- Product Code
- Batch (If Applicable)
- Expiry (If Applicable)
- Location (Warehouse Racking Location)
- Quantity

Pick Product
Next, tap on the product or scan a product barcode to view more details about the product.
The next screen will present all the locations where the product needs to be sourced from, as well as the quantity required from each location.
To verify you have the right product from the right location, the app supports scanning to verify these things.
Simply scan the product SKU or Serial Number, or the pallet barcode, and scan the location barcode in order to verify this information.
Verified scans will appear in Consignly against the transaction that recorded the warehouse activity.
If there is not enough product to pick for some reason, the quantity value can be adjusted to reflect what was actually picked.
Picking to a pallet
If you have been asked to pick items onto a new pallet, then you have the ability to do this at the time of picking.
At the point of picking, Consignly supports you being able to select the pallet you intend to pick to. If the pallet hasn't been created yet, then you have the option to create a new pallet at this point also.

When you're ready, tap Pick Selected to pick the products.

Substitute Pallet / Product / Serial
When picking a product, depending on the substitution rules defined in the Product Settings for the partner, allocated product may be able to be substituted for another item in the warehouse.
To substitute a product, tap into the product you are picking and choose the substitute function from the action menu.

You will be presented with the product that is already held, and an opportunity to select a substitute based on the substitution rules configured for that partner or product.

Choose a suitable substitute and tap the orange substitute button to make the substitution.
Total / Required items shows items selected vs items required. In this example, there is a quantity mismatch due to more items selected than required.
MSDS
If products have any MSDS attached, you can access them from the MSDS item in the Action Menu.
MSDS documents will be listed for any products in the consignment.
Tap the file to open the document.
Printing dispatch labels
Outbound consignments that are palletised in Consignly can have optional dispatch labels printed.
Dispatch labels can be printed for all pallets on the consignment by using the action menu on the consignment, or they can be printed for individual pallets by using the action menu on the pallet.

If this consignment has been picked and is ready to be sent out to the customer via a courier or truck you can mark it as ready to dispatch.
Once all products for the consignment have been picked you can change the status of the consignment to 'Ready to Dispatch'. To do this tap on the action menu while on the consignment to open it, then tap 'Mark as Ready to Dispatch'.
Capture Proof of Delivery
If this consignment requires pick up from the warehouse by the customer you can use the Capture Proof of Delivery option to verify the pickup. The customer can meet you at the door for handover and sign for proof of delivery. Each POD is stored under the POD tab on the consignment in the Web App.
