Receiving Product
To receive a product, scan the product SKU, GTIN, Package barcode, or tap into the product. Scanning will automatically verify the product is correct.
Scan or select the location you are receiving the product into.
Enter the quantity you are receiving to the location, or if the product is serialised, scan or select the serial numbers you are receiving (if serialised product is palletised in Consignly, then individual serial numbers may not be scanned - instead, the pallet is scanned as a single unit).
Receiving product
If you haven't already, optionally scan the product barcode or batch to verify the product is correct.
Tap Receive to receive the product into the warehouse location.
Marking a Consignment as Completed
When all products have been received for the consignment, you can mark it as complete.
To do this open the action menu from the Receive Consignment page and tap Mark as Completed.
You will be asked to confirm this action. Tap Complete to proceed.
Confirming to mark a consignment as Complete
If the amount received differs from what was expected, Consignly will prompt you to confirm. In this case, the consignment metrics will be updated to reflect what was actually received. Consignly does this by marking appropriate metrics as 'manual', and sets the values for them.
Updating Consignment Metrics
Sometimes consignment metrics such as the Weight, Volume, or specific custom unit types, must be updated.
To do this, choose Metrics from the action menu shown on the Receive Consignment page.
The Receive Consignment action menu
This will open the Consignment Metrics page. To edit a metric tap either + or - to change it up or down, or tap on the icon to switch the calculation method to manual.
When the method is set to manual you will be able to enter a new value for that metric via the device keyboard.
When you have completed any edits tap Save Changes to proceed.

Adding Notes
Adding notes is a great way to convey additional information about the consignment, for example the condition of the goods. A note can be a simple message, or can include photos. Notes will appear in the portal against the consignment and can be accessed from the notes tab.
Each note is automatically dated and labelled with the user that created it.
To add a note, navigate to the Consignment and tap the action menu to open it, then select Notes. Alternatively, tap on the floating action menu and select Add Note.
If any other notes have been created for this consignment they will show in this consignment notes page.
To create a note, tap the add note icon.
Creating a New Note on a Consignment
Enter in some text and optionally tap the Add Photo button to capture photos against the note.
Taking Photos
Photos can be captured on a consignment. These photos appear in the notes section on the consignment in the portal.
To take a photo navigate to the consignment and tap the action menu to open it. From the action menu tap Take Photo. The camera will launch, allowing you to capture an image.
Managing packages
If your organisation supports palletisation, you can add or reshape existing packages before receiving them into the warehouse.
Add a package
Create a package by choosing the action menu in the consignment and tapping Add Package.
Next, select the Package Type. In this example, Pallet has been selected.
Enter the external reference number of the pallet or the SSCC of the pallet (if the pallet is already labelled). If the pallet is not already labelled, then leave these fields empty to have Consignly create a new pallet reference for you.
If the client is GS1 configured, then you can automatically generate an SSCC number by tapping the generate icon.
Optionally select any unpalletised product to add to the pallet at the time of creating it.
Adding a New Package on a Consignment
Items, either loose or part of a package, can be split in order to move to a new pallet.
Then move items from one pallet to another by de-packaging the product first, then either creating a new package or editing an existing package and adding the now loose items to it.
Splitting Products on a Consignment
Create product in real time
Sometimes a consignment will be expected, but the content of the consignment is unable to be known in advance. In this case, it may be desirable to directly add product to the inwards consignment.
Choose the action menu in the consignment and tap Add Product.
This will open the New Product page, allowing for partner product to be added to consignment.
The New Product dialog in the Receive Consignment screen
If your product has a GS1 composite barcode (for example, from a pallet label), then scanning the barcode will allow you to find and assign the product and it's properties (such as Batch, Expiry etc) into the form to save time when entering data.
