In order to print labels directly to a compatible Zebra printer from the Warehouse App, Printers must be configured for the device.
Printers can be pre-configured within the Web Portal for a particular warehouse, which are then directly surfaced on the warehouse app. In this case, users do not have to use the printer discovery feature within the warehouse app.
Adding a Printer
To add a printer that has not been preconfigured, tap the action menu at the top right of the Printer Settings view. You will be presented with two options:
- Find Printer
- Add Printer Manually
Find Printer
Use the Find Printer option to automatically detect compatible printers on the same network as your device.
Tap the action menu and choose Find Printer. Select the Connection Type from the two options:
- Network Printer
- Bluetooth Printer
Consignly will attempt to auto-discover any printers, and displays them in a list for you to view and select.
To add a printer from this list, simply select the printer. Consignly will add the printer to the list of available printers in your app.
Add Printer Manually
If your printer cannot be found automatically, then you may try and add your printer manually by providing the network settings directly.
Tap the action menu in the shoulder and choose Add Printer Manually.
From the next screen, enter the name, IP address, and DPI of the printer.
Manually Configuring a new Printer
A successfully added printer will appear in the Printer Settings.
Printers that have been manually added will have a 'Manually Configured Printer' description.

Test Print
Once you have added your printers, you can attempt to test print to confirm that you can print to the printer correctly.
To perform a test print, ensure that your device is connected to the same network as your printer. Tap the action menu next to the printer you wish to perform a test print for. Tap the Test Print option and Consignly will attempt to print a test label to the printer.
The Get Status option will attempt to communicate to the printer to get the status of the printer to check if it's ready for printing.
