Automations in Consignly are designed to help you take care of repetitive tasks. The initial release of automations is specifically designed to help speed up end of period billing tasks.
Automation task options include:
- Raising storage charges
- Creating an ad-hoc transaction
- Raising schedules
- Approving draft schedules
An automation can be configured to run on a repeating schedule, and for one or more client partners.
Automations in Consignly
Manage automations
To manage or create automations in Consignly, choose Automation from the sidebar menu.
Existing automations will be listed. Use the Add button to create a new automation.
When creating an automation, you need to provide the following information:
- Name (friendly name to identify the automation)
- Time Zone (the time zone that the automation's recurrence schedule will be based in)
- Recurrence Type (when you want the automation to trigger)
Creating a new automation in Consignly
Recurrence Types
When creating an automation, there are two recurrence types available for selection:
- Weekly
- Monthly
Recurrence options are used to define when the automation schedule will trigger.
The Weekly recurrence option presents a list of days of the week.
- Select one or more days in order to have the automation schedule trigger on those days.
- Also set the time that the automation schedule will trigger on.
A weekly recurrence, set to trigger on Monday's at 5am GMT+12
A Monthly recurrence option presents a list of months of the year.
Select one or more months in order to have the automation schedule trigger on those months.
Monthly recurrence options also have two Monthly Mode options:
- Specific Day; or
- Specific Week Day
If you select Specific Day as the monthly mode, you will be prompted to choose the day of the month that the automation will run on.
If you select Specific Weekday as the monthly mode, you will be prompted to choose the week you wish to run the automation (First, Second, Third, Fourth, Last) and the Day of the week you wish to run the automation.
Lastly, set the time that the automation schedule will trigger on.
