Service Types can be assigned to inwards or outwards consignments. Service types might include things such as Biosecurity, Hand Unloading a Container, Customer Collection, for example.
Service Types can be used in Rate Cards in order to target a charge on a consignment via the service that has been assigned to the consignment.
Create a Service Type
Visit the Organisation menu, and choose Service Types.
You can create a new Service Type by pressing the Add button.
You must enter a Name for your service type. When transactions are raised and scheduled, the Service Type can be used to define particulars on the transaction, and can be used when working with an accounting package to help categorise charges.

Using a Service Type
To use a service type on a consignment, click the action menu in the shoulder of the consignment.

Choose the Edit Service Types, and Consignly will present a list of all available service types for you to choose. More than one service type may be added to a consignment.
