Welcome to Consignly. Consignly helps manage your warehouse, connect your Client Partners, and integrate with third-party systems to streamline your operations.
On the left side of the screen you can see your sidebar menu, if you wish to hide this (this can be useful when viewing Consignly on a mobile or tablet) simply click the menu icon at the top; click it again to reopen it.
Now lets get familiar with the menu:
The sidebar gives you access to different parts of Consignly.
Dashboard: will bring you back to the dashboard view when you are in another area of the program.
Inventory: view and manage your in-warehouse inventory
Partners: create and manage your partners.
Client Partners: clients that you store goods for and provide services to.
Carrier Partners: are your subcontracted carriers.
Warehouses: create and manage your warehouses.
Reports: offers you a wide variety of reports to successfully manage all aspects of your 3PL operation.
App Integrations: Manage your apps and connections into Consignly.
Intelligence: allows you to deep dive into your data to uncover useful information.
Organisation: settings and maintenance items for your Consignly subscription.
Information in the menu will change depending on your permissions in Consignly.
If you have access to more than one organisation, you can use the Organisation switcher to change organisations.
Blades and Cards
Consignly screens are arranged using blades. Blades are screens that stack, and help make sure Consignly can be used on multiple devices, from desktops, to laptops and tablets, through to mobile devices.
Information within a blade will often be laid out using a series of cards. Cards help group like information together.
Once your organisation is configured in Consignly, you will need to add Partners to work with Consignly.
A Carrier Partner is a transport operator that will transport goods in or out of your warehouse.
A Client Partner is an entity that you store goods on behalf of. Client Partners need products created in order to bring goods into a warehouse.
Consignments is where the bulk of Consignly operations occur.
Inwards consignments are created to bring goods into your warehouse. Items coming in can be received and stored in a warehouse location.
Outwards consignments are created to ship goods from your warehouse to one of your Client's customers. Items can be searched within the warehouse based on defined stock rotation methods, can be picked using our Warehouse App, and can be pushed to your TMS partner for dispatch and delivery.
Proof of Delivery (POD) information can be received into Consignly, and as your Client Partners can be connected directly with Consignly, they can view their POD directly from Consignly.
