Sometimes product that is in your warehouse needs to be Adjusted, Transferred to a new location, or Quarantined.
There are two places these functions can be actioned:
- Using the action menu at the end of a product group; or
- Using the action menu in the shoulder of the Inventory header.
The action menu at the end of a product line exposes options to support each of these functions, and choosing an option will automatically populate the adjustment, transfer, or quarantine form with the product from the group.
Using the action menu on the Inventory header, will require you to search for the product you wish to adjust, transfer, or quarantine.

Adjusting stock levels
A stock take may show that you have more or less stock in the Warehouse than Consignly is reporting. This may require you to complete a stock adjustment. Start by choosing the Adjust Metrics item from the menu.
You'll be presented with a new blade. Stock adjustment is a two-step process:
- Adjust the metrics and add a description
- Review the changes and confirm the adjustment
Adjust the metrics
Enter the new metrics for the product. Consignly will show you a row for each date/time where this product was received into the warehouse. Consignly does this because free storage may be attributed to product when it was received, so adjustments to metrics on different received dates may affect storage calculations.
Adjust the metrics for each line where applicable.
Adjusting the Quantity will automatically recalculate the Volume and Weight fields, but you may overtype these.
For example, if you currently have 100 items in stock and a stock take revealed an extra 2 items, then you would set the New Quantity to 102. Consignly will automatically create an adjustment event for the additional two items.
The first step: setting the new metric values
Review the changes
Choosing Next will take you to the next step in the process, which is to review and confirm the changes.
Consignly will summarise the changes, and show the changes that will be made to the product.
Illustration of the confirmation process. Note the different colours to denote the changes being applied.
To commit the adjustment to Consignly, choose the Adjust Product button. To go back and change the new metrics, choose the Back button.
Adjustments will result in transactions created on the product in the warehouse that describes changes made, giving you traceability of exactly what happened on that product over time.
To view the transactions, expose the action menu and select View Transactions.

Transferring product to another location
You may wish to move product from one location to another in a Warehouse. For example, you may have received product into a bulk location, and now you wish to put it away to a different location.
You can do this via the Warehouse App, but from the web portal you must complete a product transfer.
To start, choose the Transfer Product item from the action menu at the end of the product group.
You'll be presented with a new blade. There are 4 things to complete:
- Enter the quantity
- Select the warehouse you wish to transfer to (it will default to the current warehouse)
- Select the new destination location
- Optionally select a destination pallet
- Optionally describe the reason for transfer
Type the quantity you wish to transfer to this location. By default Consignly will prefill the field with all the quantity, however you can enter a new amount. Note that the transfer screen breaks down the inventory based on its status. You can choose to transfer only available inventory, as well asinventory that is held or already allocated to a consignment.
Select the location you wish to move some or all of the product to using the Destination location field.
Enter particulars to describe this event. These particulars will be shown on the Warehouse event in the product group.

When you are ready to complete the transfer, choose the Transfer Product button.

Transferring product to and from pallets
Transferring whole pallets is possible using the Transfer Pallet option in the pallet action menu at the end of the product line.
This allows you to transfer a pallet in its entirety to a new location.
Transfer a whole pallet in full to a new location
If you wish to transfer product from this pallet to a new pallet, or transfer product from a pallet to loose items in the warehouse, then choose the transfer option at the end of the product line instead of the pallet line.

Working with pallets when transferring product
Optionally when transferring a product, you can choose a destination pallet.
Transferring product to a destination pallet allows you to palletise loose items from your warehouse, or allows you to move product from one pallet to another pallet.
The destination pallet selector in the Destination card on the Transfer Inventory blade supports 3 options:
- None
- New Pallet
- Existing Pallet
None
Selecting None allows you to take product from a pallet and move them to loose items in your warehouse.
New Pallet
Selecting the New Pallet option will present you with fields to supply a reference number and an SSCC number (including generating an SSCC if the destination warehouse supports it).
