The General Card in a consignment holds general information about the consignment. The available fields are different depending on whether the consignment is Inwards or Outwards.
All consignments have a Consignly consignment number. This number is automatically generated and cannot be changed.
A Reference Number is available for you to enter a reference for the consignment. This may be a customer reference for example.
There is also a field to indicate the date the consignment was entered. It defaults to the date the consignment was created but can be changed.
Inwards Consignments
Inwards consignments support entering the Expected Arrival Date to hold information about when the goods are expected to come into the warehouse.
Optionally a field can be set to determine the Default Receive Location for this consignment. When receiving product, this location will be automatically selected to receive items into. This could be a bulk receiving location, for example.
Outwards Consignments
Outwards consignments support entering the Expected Dispatch Date and also the Expected Dispatch Time. This information is reported on the Picking List PDF and the Warehouse App to provide some context to the Store Personnel about when the consignment needs to be dispatched.
Optionally a field can be set to determine the Default Dispatch Location for this consignment. When dispatching product, this location will be automatically displayed on picking lists and the Mobile App to indicate to warehouse operators where to drop product for dispatch.
