Consignments have various statuses that they can move through on their journey from creation to completion.
Inwards, Outwards, and Point to Point consignments all have different status options.
When a consignment moves into a status, it can cause Consignly to perform actions on the data in the consignment.
For example, charges may be raised, picked or received goods may be transacted into the warehouse, and stock levels may be impacted, having a flow on effect on storage calculations and other warehouse-related activities.
Inwards consignments
Inwards consignments have the following status options:
Pending
The Pending status is the initial state of the consignment. It remains in this state while details about the consignment are entered, and products are added to the consignment.
Ready to Receive
The Ready to Receive status indicates that the consignment details have been entered, and the products are ready to receive into store. This puts the consignment into a mode that supports receiving the goods.
Complete
The Complete status indicates the goods have been received, and the consignment is completed pending charges being calculated and/or raised.
Closed
The Closed status is the final part of the inwards consignment journey. When a consignment is closed no further changes can be made to it.
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can re-open a consignment that has been closed.
Outwards consignments
Outwards consignments have the following options:
Pending
The Pending status is the initial state of the consignment. It remains in this state while details about the consignment are entered, and products are added to the consignment.
Ready to Pick
The Ready to Receive status indicates that the consignment details have been entered, and the products are ready to pick from the warehouse. This puts the consignment into a mode that supports picking the goods.
Ready to Dispatch
The Ready to Dispatch status indicates the goods have been picked, and are ready for dispatching. This may mean a customer comes to store to collect them, or they're ready to put on a carrier to transport to the destination. If you have a Transport Management integration, this might be the step where the consignment data is pushed into the TMS.
In Transit
The In Transit status allows you to inform users that the goods have left the warehouse and are currently en-route to their destination.
Complete
The Complete status indicates the goods have been delivered, and the consignment is completed pending charges being calculated and/or raised.
Closed
The Closed status is the final part of the outwards consignment journey. When a consignment is closed no further changes can be made to it.
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can re-open a consignment that has been closed.
App Triggers
A lightning bolt may appear next to different statuses on a consignment. This indicates there is an app trigger configured for this consignment. An app trigger may be used to trigger a push of consignment data to a TMS system or other third-party integration. Connected Apps can be viewed in the Apps tab on a consignment.
