Consignment Metrics summarise the metrics of all the products that have been added to the consignment.
Products are defined for a Client Partner. And when a product is created, it may be assigned a unit type, weight in KGs, and volume in cubic metres.
As products are added to the consignment, the quantity of items added will increase the metrics for the consignment.
The Quantity metric will always count the total number of items added to the consignment. Weight KG and Volume M3 will be the sum of the weight and volume of the products on the consignment.
Virtual Pallets and Virtual Pallets (Or Part Thereof) show a calculation of pallet conversions for the products added to the consignment. The Part Thereof version will round to full pallets for each product added to the consignment.
Other metrics are also available, such as any custom units that have been created for the client partner. If any products have been defined with a custom unit type, then the metrics will reflect this.

Charges
When charges are raised on a consignment, they may raised based on the metrics stored in the Metrics card. Rate Cards can have activity and freight rates configured for Metric Rates or Product Rates. If the rate is a Metric Rate, then the information recorded in the Metrics card on the consignment will be used to resolve the charge.
Manual override
You can choose to edit the metrics, to manually override any of the calculated values. This is useful if you want to make some user-defined adjustments to the metric values.
If you are picking or receiving product, and you fail to pick or receive all of the product defined in the consignment, then when moving the consignment to a complete status Consignly will update the metrics to a manual state, and set the value of each of the metrics to the value that was actually picked or received.
