When managing Outwards Consignments in Consignly, you may occasionally need to reverse work that has already been completed.
These scenarios may require products to be Undispatched and/or Unpicked.

Undispatching
Undispatching products on a consignment is reversing the dispatch process, bringing products out of a dispatched status and bringing them back into a picked status.
This is typically required when the consignment needs to have its Dispatch Time updated.
- In order to Unpick products, they first need to be Undispatched.

Unpicking
Unpicking products on a consignment returns allocated inventory back into its original location.
This is typically required when the wrong inventory items were picked on the consignment, requiring those inventory items to be returned back into the warehouse.

Why are these actions separate?
Separating these actions gives warehouse operators greater control over their workflows.
For example, a consignment may need to be undispatched so the true dispatched time can be set, while picked inventory remains picked and ready to dispatch again.
In other situations, the wrong inventory may have been picked for the consignment and needs to be returned to their original locations, in which case an Unpick can be performed.
This flexibility allows each situation to be handled appropriately without unnecessarily reversing warehouse work.
