Some organisations use pickfaces so less-than-full-pallet product being picked is always picked from that product's designated pickface.
To support this, locations can be configured as pickfaces.
Pickfaces have properties that allow users to indicate the product that sits in the pickface location, the rotation and allocation behaviour, as well as minimum and target quantities of that product for the pickface.
Pickface setup and management is accessed from a dedicated Pickface Configuration submenu item, located under the Organisation menu.
The Pickface Configuration view displaying Pickface Locations Only
The Pickface Configuration view allows you to view and manage pickfaces across your entire organisation.
There are multiple filters to help search through these locations.
Setting a Location as a Pickface
To nominate a location as a pickface:
- Filter through and select a location from the locations listed, or
- Use the Add button to select a warehouse and location to nominate as a pickface.
Once a location has been selected, configure the pickface's:
- Product
- Rotation Behaviour
- Allocation Behaviour
- Target Quantity
- Min Quantity
Product
Nominate the product that sits in this pickface location by searching and selecting the product from the list.
Rotation Behaviour
The rotation behaviour decides whether or not products with different rotation rules, for example products with different batches or expiry dates, can be stored in the pickface together.
Allocation Behaviour
Allocation behaviour controls how stock is suggested for allocation for a consignment.
Allocation behaviour may be required, meaning product must be picked from the pickface, or preferred, which allows product to be picked from another location if necessary.
Target Quantity
The target quantity is the amount of items in the pickface that you desire to be there after a replenishment.
Minimum Quantity
The min quantity is the threshold of product at the pickface that will trigger the pickface to appear on the Pickface replenishment report.
When the quantity of product at this location sits below this quantity threshold, Consignly will surface the location as requiring replenishment.

Import Pickface Locations
The Import function allows you to create multiple pickface definitions at once.
You can download the template file that includes all previously defined pickface locations. This file can then be edited and re-uploaded to update existing pickface location information.
Pickface Replenishment
To determine whether a pickface requires a replenishment, visit the Reports menu and run the Pickface Replenishment report.
Optionally choose to filter by:
- Warehouse
- Client
- Product
- Indicate to show pickfaces that require replenishment only
Consignly will present a report that shows you the pickfaces that require replenishment (or all pickfaces along with a status to indicate whether they require replenishment), along with how much product needs to be replenished into the pickface to meet the target quantity.
To replenish the pickface, complete a manual Inventory Transfer to move stock into each location.
